NEW WEBSITE & UPDATE

As many of our customers will know, back on 27th March 2019 there was a fire at the neighbouring unit to our 3 at Coedcae Lane in Pontyclun. We apologise for us not updating customers much in the interim period, but it’s certainly been a hectic 6/7 months since then.

The damage from the associated smoke on that day has unfortunately led to 1 of our units being so damaged that it will effectively need to be rebuilt (this originally was housed a stock room and offices/meeting space). The 2nd unit (which housed more office space and our showroom) was less affected but necessitated a total redecoration of the unit which has only very recently been completed. The 1 other unit we held was a little less damaged again but unfortunately there was some damage to some of the machinery we used on site. In the immediate aftermath we took what steps we felt necessary to get back up and running as quickly as possible. This included staff working out of portacabins in the car park (and continue to do so) and us finding temporary alternative premises for all of our machinery and production workspace as we effectively had around 30% of the floor space pre fire. All the stock we held on site was written off due to smoke damage (not quite what we had in mind when we discussed plans for a summer “fire sale” at the start of the year.

We did what we could during this period to limit the effect on our service and customers but unfortunately it did have an impact and has caused delays for some customers and for that we not only apologise but will strive to make this right in the future for you.

With that said the support we had from many customers and a large portion of our suppliers was refreshing to see and it was very much appreciated and won’t be forgotten.

We have now made the move to our new production facility, at the Old Magistrates court building in Tonypandy, Permanent. We will be retaining a single unit at Pontyclun as a teamwear showroom and sales office and are hoping to be back in there properly by the end of the Month.

In other news – we have finally had an update on our website. We will be adding a lot more product to it over the next 2-3 months and will ensure to update all of our customers as we do. There are some exciting things that the website will allow us to implement in the next 3-6 months which ultimately should lead to a better service for all of our customers.
